After a break over the New Year period Conspiracy Theatre 3000 is back! And we are back in a big way with the most talked about conspiracy film of 2024. A new year brings with it new films, new theories and new breakdowns. So join Ryan, Bob and Drew as they sink their teeth into the Obama produced, Netflix exclusive "Leave the World Behind". 
The film tells the story of Amanda and Clay Sandford who embark on an aspirational vacation with their teenage children. It is soon interrupted by the arrival of a middle aged man and his daughter who own the holiday home and who have fled an unprecedented blackout in the city. When the internet, television and radio stop working, as does the landline, they have no way of finding out what is happening. As strange sonic booms shatter the peace of the countryside, and animals start to migrate in strange ways, the physical and mental health of the families begins to disintegrate.
If you haven't seen this film yet you really need to go check it out. It is a film jam packed full of on the nose conspiracy theories, tropes and symbolism. All packaged in the artistic design and details reminiscent of the works of Stanley Kubrick. It is the type of film that will make you take notice of the smallest details and require multiple viewings.

Welcome back for another episode of "You're Missen the Point" podcast. Today we welcome back friend of the show and previous guest Fozzie. Fozzie has just returned from a lifetime trip to India, full of experiences that have changed his perspective on the world and his place within it. 
For the most part Fozzie missed the political and social changes that have happened in Australia, post referendum and triggered by the Israel/Gaza conflict. The once great community of freedom orientated Australians has been divided, fractured and torn apart.

Time for something a little bit different!
Today I bring to you a little bit of an experiment. This week I hosted a X (formerly known as Twitter) Space to discuss conspiracy theories. The idea being to test out how community engagement on a live platform would perform, while providing active conversational engagement from the listeners outside of written comments. 
Think of it as a Coast to Coast AM style open radio show. Admittedly the sound quality isn't the best but I feel it adds to that boots on the ground conversations we all heard back in the day with talkback radio (I will be using my regular recording set up next time around).
I started the show off with my take on what Bigfoot, Yowie and Sasquatch could be, including my reasoning and comparisons to real life analogies.
 
This started the ball rolling allowing many speakers to jump on and share their conspiracy theories including;
 
- Continental drift (fake).
- Foreign interference in the West.
- Oil the lifeblood of the Earth.
- Did Dinosaurs really exist?
- Crystals and Frequencies.
- Artificial moon.
- 13 month calendar.
- Polar flip and Great Resets. 
- Ancient Indian technology.

It is an absolute blast chatting with these guys and this topic was something I hadn't even thought about since 2000. It was great to reflect on this event through hindsight and the wisdom that comes from age and experience.
