This is something I vividly remember from my own childhood, something that has been niggling at me since I was 10 years old. So it was about time I researched this one a little further. 

This is an all Australian mystery that takes place on the remote west coast of Tasmania spanning 38 years and multiple scientific investigations by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).

For decades the identities of these creatures remained a mystery...
